Job Title:Nurse Practitioner
Reports To:Director of Advance Practice - Adult and Family Medicine
Job Summary:Provides and manages a high standard of health care for patients in their area of specialty.

EssentialJob Duties And Responsibilities
- Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnostic evaluations of labs and imaging or other diagnostic procedures, and treatment for patients within scope of practice.
- Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate.
- Refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.
- Directs and coordinates the patient care activities of nursing, care coordinators, and support staff.
- Ensures completion of tasks, patient labs, imaging, and reports, as well as required paperwork in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintains patient records and provides accurate billing data.
- Participates in health promotion, education, and prevention programs as appropriate.
- Participates in peer review and feedback to other medical providers.
- Assists in training and mentorship to improve professional skills of staff.
- Participates in education of clinical students and community partners as per program guidelines.
- Graduate Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
- Current Arizona State License as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Board Certification in relevant specialty.
- Current CPR certification.
- Participation in continuing medical education.
- Driver's License and Proof of Insurance (if requesting mileage reimbursement).
- Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Two years of clinical experience preferred.
- Effective communication in English, both oral and written.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- Ability to present information clearly to patients and staff.
- Ability to convey technical information to non-technical personnel.
- Ability to lift objects up to 25 pounds.
- Remain stationary and move about as needed.
- Operate office and medical equipment.
- Good visual and auditory acuity.
- Ability to exert force to lift and move patients.
- Medical math skills, data analysis, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of HIPAA, compliance, medical evaluation principles, and evidence-based primary care.
- Computer literacy and motivational training skills.
- Ability to develop educational programs and prioritize work.
- Typical clinic setting with exposure to communicable diseases and chemicals.
- Occasional use of needles and medical equipment, travel, and extended hours.
- Reliable transportation required.
