Work on a diversified vegetable and herb farming operation. The job requires manual and mechanized field tasks, including planting, cultivating, harvesting, packing, and field maintenance under varying weather conditions.

• Perform manual and mechanized tasks related to production and harvest of vegetables and herbs (e.g., Green/Red Romaine, Green/Red Oak, Green/Red Leaf lettuce, Mizuna, Arugula, Spinach, Kale, baby greens, culinary herbs and microgreens).
• Utilize hand tools (shovels, trowels, hoes, pruners, shears, knives) and operate power equipment as needed (tractors, planters, sprayers, cultivators).
• Till soil, apply fertilizers, transplant, weed, thin, prune crops, and apply pesticides in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Sort, pack, weigh, and load harvested products; manage packing materials and arrange crates or bins.
• Maintain irrigation systems and water lines; install and adjust irrigation pipes and fittings.
• Assist with farm building, fence repair, and hoop house maintenance; perform field maintenance duties as required.
• Maintain equipment, restrooms, and fields in sanitary condition; keep packing areas clean and organized.
• Operate agricultural equipment with or without direction and follow supervisors’ instructions; work under supervision for non-routine tasks.
• Wear required personal protective equipment and appropriate work clothing; report to work daily ready for field tasks.
• Engage in variable tasks such as ditching, shoveling, hoeing, hauling, ground preparation, and other farming activities.
• Ensure safety, follow pesticide warning and re-entry postings, and comply with all regulations.

• Minimum of 3 months of verifiable commercial agricultural employment experience, preferably on a vegetable farm, handling both manual and machine tasks.
• Ability to perform manual and mechanized activities with accuracy and efficiency; capable of hard, strenuous labor in cold, wet spring and hot, humid summers.
• Age: at least 18 years old; physically able to meet all job specifications stated in the job order.
• Must be able to work in hot, humid weather for extended periods; must be prepared for varied weather conditions.
• Background requirement: random drug testing post hire at no cost to the employee; failing or refusing a drug test may result in termination.
