Purpose

Set up team for success by ensuring that formulations, certifications, and customer information is reviewed, transferred, and approved in a timely and correct manner to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with customer specific and regulatory requirements. Ensure Lab and Quality systems are robust, compliant, and efficient. Provide excellent internal and external customer service.


Areas of Responsibility / Tasks

  • General Policy
  • Accurate transfer of sample formulations, production requirements, testing and approvals, packaging requirements, etc. to the production team to ensure the correct production of products every time.
  • Maintain ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 18001 quality systems (documentation, internal audit, registrar audits, etc.)
  • Responsible for coordinating the maintaining of Lab equipment through daily control checks and service needs of Lab equipment.
  • Coordination of tasks for Lab Tech’s by prioritizing workload.
  • Time and attendance verification for Lab personnel.
  • Oversee calibration of Lab equipment.
  • Ensure that internal and external corrective actions are robust and complete.
  • Promote and support continuous improvement throughout the company.
  • Review suppliers Certificates of Analysis.
  • Support Sales Team through recommendations of appropriate product for specific applications, customer visits and presentations as required.
  • Follow all Quality, Safety and Environmental Procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.


Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications

  • Education:
  • Associate or bachelor’s Degree a plus.
  • Experience:
  • 5+ years related laboratory/quality/plastic processing experience.
  • 2 – 4 years of managing laboratory team.
  • Compounding, formulation, specimen molding and testing and data reporting experience.
  • Root cause analysis.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, people management and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail oriented, disciplined, ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Must have the ability to read, speak and write in English efficiently.

  • Must be comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise, with/or without the use of a private office.
  • Must be comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
  • Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands for more than 40 hours with or without notice.
  • All injuries regardless of severity must be reported to your Supervisor/HR immediately.
