Metals Prep Analyst

This position involves preparing, digesting, and filtering soil and wastewater samples for metals analysis via ICP-OES. Prior laboratory experience is a plus, but is not required. Applicants must be able to read and understand EPA approved standard operating procedures and follow all QA/QC guidelines. Applicants must be willing to work with concentrated acids and other hazardous materials and adhere to strict laboratory safety standards.

Hours are full time from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Prep analysts may start earlier if they prefer but may not start later than 9:00. Starting salary will depend on education and experience. Applicants should have a minimum of a bachelors degree in a scientific field.

LIAL is a NYS Department of Health certified lab that is capable of analyzing water, air, soil, and other materials for many various contaminants. LIAL is also certified by the NYS Department of Labor and can also provide testing for asbestos, mold, and lead based paint.
