Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled, dependable, and experienced carpenter. We need someone who knows their trade, takes pride in their work, and can be counted on to get the job done right the first time. Work involves a variety of residential and commercial construction and remodeling projects. This job begins on a temporary basis, with the potential to continue full-time based on performance and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules and regulations
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Construct wood structures including framing, joists, and rafters
• Install fixtures and materials such as windows, flooring, trim, and hardware
• Finish carpentry, including trim and molding
• Build pergolas and other outdoor structures, including working from ladders and at elevated heights
• Perform construction and remodeling work both indoors and outdoors, including exposure to Arizona's extreme summer heat and colder winter temperatures
• Measuring, cutting, fitting, and installing materials
• Interact with customers, suppliers, and other construction professionals

Qualifications

• Proven, hands-on carpentry and construction experience required
• Able to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision
• Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and measurements
• Knowledge of framing, finish carpentry, remodeling, and general construction
• Ability to safely operate hand and power carpentry tools
• Knowledge of building regulations and codes
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects
• Must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme Arizona summer heat and cold winter temperatures
• Reliable, punctual, professional, and hardworking
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle available for travel between job sites and occasional trips to pick up materials and supplies
