We are seeking an energetic, skilled Production Associate for openings in our facility in Arkansas City, KS. We operate 24/7, 7 days per week. Shift is 2nd Shift – 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with flexibility to work weekends and overtime.

Job Summary

Production associates are responsible for the product coming off the line from the time it is filled until it has been boxed and stacked onto pallets, ready to go to the warehouse for storage.

Primary Objectives

• Coordinate GSF Quality activities and operations to meet objectives for quality, food safety, regulatory compliance, cost, safety and customer satisfaction at Kan Pak.
• Participate in formulating and administering division’s short and long-range goals and objectives for business growth.
• Load bundles of boxes into machines.
• Operate labeler and ink-jet printer.
• Operate box erector and case packer.
• Load pallets onto conveyors.
• Stack cases on pallets.
• Use wrenches and pallet jacks.
• Manually clean equipment.
• Contribute to excellence with a positive and flexible attitude.
• Ensure full compliance with all quality assurance standards, especially good housekeeping and overall cleanliness of products and work areas.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Employment Requirements

High School Graduate / GED required.

Physical Demands

2–3 years’ experience or equivalent employment preferred. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is frequently required to use hands to fingers, handle, or feel;

reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally carry for up to 100 feet. The employee is occasionally required to climb stairs. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
