JOB SUMMARY

Box shop Lead will be responsible for ensuring that the machines are loading with the correct program for the day and making sure the correct type and program of boxes are coming to backpack-off. They will direct the daily activities of and work directly with production team members in the box shop and backpack-off of the Fabrication department. Box shop Lead are expected to be the primary example of appropriate behavior, attitude and respect for others using a continuous improvement mentality and will work to perpetuate a “Creekstone proud” culture through attitude and actions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Responsible for maintaining a clean, and safe work environment.
• Train new team members in the area.
• Delegate tasks to team members and follow up on those tasks.
• Help Reduce packaging cost and labor cost.
• Drive strategies for budget and labor cost savings, and efficiency in the area.
• Must be a good listener and have the ability to receive commands/request over two-way radios, and other communication devices.
• Ensure all team members follow all safety procedures.
• Maintain a safe and accident-free environment by adhering to safety standards and identifying safety issues and reporting them to the supervisor or safety manager.
• Ensure that all supplies are kept up to their minimum stock amounts.
• Control all documentation required in the box shop accurately and in an organized manner.
• All other Duties as assigned.

• Basic math skills are necessary.
• Able to handle multiple projects while not losing track of priorities.
• Ability to present ideas, concepts, issues, concerns, and questions in a well thought out, positive, and professional manner.
• Clear communication skills – verbally and in written form
• Able to work productively and independently.
• Ability to take direction humbly and collaborate to define and pursue team goals.
• A positive outlook and attitude in taking initiative and problem solving and unprompted.
• Suggest new ideas and job methods.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
