Monday through Thursday from 8:00am to 5:00pm
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dedicated dental team. As an essential part of our practice, you will play a key role in creating a smooth and comfortable environment for our patients, ensuring high-quality care while supporting the dentist in both clinical and administrative tasks. Key Responsibilities- Patient Care & Comfort
:
Welcome and prepare patients for treatments or check‑ups, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns they may have. - Assist with Procedures
:
Set up instruments, equipment, and materials needed for dental procedures. Assist the dentist through 4‑handed dentistry and ensure the dental room is well‑prepared for each procedure. - Instrument Sterilization & Safety
:
Follow proper sterilization procedures and ensure that all dental instruments are sanitized in compliance with health regulations. - Lab Tasks & Post‑Operative Care
:
Assist with lab tasks as directed and provide patients with post‑operative care instructions. - Record Maintenance
:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, assisting with patient charts, treatment documentation, and payment procedures. - Scheduling & Office Support
:
Assist in scheduling patient appointments and ensuring the office runs smoothly with minimal disruptions. Keep the dental room clean, organized, and well‑stocked. - Regulated Tasks
:
Perform non‑surgical tasks such as coronal polishing, if certified, and assist with other regulated tasks as allowed by local regulations.
- Experience
: A minimum of 2 years of dental assisting experience in a clinical setting. - Certification
:
Dental Assistant Certification (CDA or RDA) is required. Additional certifications such as EFDA (Expanded Function Dental Assistant) or Radiology Certifications are a plus. - Skills & Knowledge
- In‑depth knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization methods, and infection control protocols.
- Familiarity with dental procedures and treatments.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations in a dental office.
- Experience with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is highly preferred.
- Clinical Competence
:
Ability to perform regulated non‑surgical tasks, such as coronal polishing, and assist with other dental procedures. - Communication & Patient Care
:
Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with patients, providing clear instructions and ensuring their comfort. - Organization & Attention to Detail
:
Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. - Team‑Oriented
:
Ability to work effectively in a team environment while providing high‑quality patient care.
- Additional Certifications
:
Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA), Radiology Certification, or Dental Hygiene Assistant certification. - Language Skills
:
Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish) are a plus but not required.
