Egypt Education Platform is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Secondary English Teacher for the academic year  to join our vibrant team at "GEMS British International School in Madinaty". This position offers an exciting opportunity for passionate educators to nurture students' English language skills and inspire a love for literature.

Job location:

Cairo, Egypt. We are looking to hire foreign educators with experience in teaching the British curriculum internationally or in the UK.

• Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with the British Curriculum for the Secondary Stage, focusing on developing students' reading, writing, listening, and speaking abilities.
• Employ a diverse range of teaching strategies to engage students and enhance their understanding of complex English concepts, literature, and critical analysis.
• Assess and evaluate student progress through various forms of assessment, providing timely and constructive feedback to foster improvement.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation, discussion, and respectful expression of ideas.
• Collaborate with other educators to integrate interdisciplinary themes and initiatives that enhance student learning experiences.
• Encourage the development of language skills through extracurricular activities, such as debating clubs, literary events, and writing competitions.
• Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and strategies for academic success.
• Engage in professional development to ensure the delivery of the most effective teaching practices and curricular innovations.

• Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience teaching English at the Secondary Stage is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, ideally within the context of the British Curriculum.
• Strong knowledge of English literature and language with an ability to cultivate student interest and engagement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with students, colleagues, and parents.
• Dynamic and resourceful teaching approach that embraces various learning styles.
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and active involvement in the school community.
• PGCE certificate will be a plus.
