Job Description

The British International School of Charlotte is seeking a passionate, energetic and creative whole‑school Music Teacher who can also teach Drama in KS 3 & 4. Personal Specifications
  • Qualified teacher with a minimum of 2 years experience.
  • Hold a current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure for all countries lived in.
  • Compliance with U.S. visa requirements – either British or American passport holder, or authorisation to work in the USA.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils; willingness to undertake child‑protection training when required.
  • Ability to integrate technology into the classroom experience to enhance and extend learning.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Good cross‑cultural, interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse nationalities.
  • Excellent analytical skills and a passion to demonstrate and quantify success.
  • Results‑orientated with the ability to map efforts against identified KPIs.
  • Excellent time‑management skills and flexibility in dealing with multi‑functional tasks.
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of all aspects of Music and Drama education.
  • Evidence of outstanding teaching and active participation in professional development.
  • Commitment to developing all aspects of school life.
