Job Summary

Seeking a part-time research assistant to join a CIT/CHS funded research project aimed at modifying ride‑on battery‑powered cars for children with disabilities. The project will explore the impact of these modifications on students’ perspectives, faculty and student involvement, and community support for families.

Responsibilities
  • Adapt the ride‑on battery‑powered cars and related toys
  • Organize the lab’s resources
  • Schedule and attend meetings
  • Document the activities
  • Assist with qualitative data analysis
  • Perform other associated tasks
Required Qualifications
  • Must be a current University of Michigan–Flint undergraduate student in good academic standing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Advanced organization skills
  • Comfortable interacting with children, educators, and subject matter experts
  • Willingness to learn new tasks
Desired Qualifications

Teamwork, communication, and time‑management skills.

Modes of Work

Hybrid. Work may be performed onsite or offsite. An employee is expected to have a recurring onsite presence and may be required to work onsite more frequently if needed by unit leadership.
