The British International School of Charlotte is seeking a passionate, energetic and creative Science Teacher (Physics). Responsibilities- Demonstrating and promoting a genuine love of learning
- Teaching pupils assigned to your classes within the school and carrying out duties as required by the Senior Leadership Team (SLT)
- Ensuring that planning, preparation, recording, assessment, and reports meet the expectations of the school
- Promoting student wellbeing
- Demonstrating a proactive approach toward professional development
- Implement current best practices in each of the subject areas
- Support positive school culture by engaging with colleagues to think, create and reflect
- Contribute to the strategic development of the school
- Maintain familiarity with key school policies, routines, and systems
- Qualified teacher with a minimum of 2 years experience
- Hold a current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure for all countries lived in
- Compliance with visa requirements for working in the United States – must have British or American passport or be authorized to work in the USA for any employer
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils, and a willingness to undertake appropriate child protection training when required
- The ability to integrate technology into the classroom experience to enhance and extend the learning of students
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of products
- Good cross‑cultural, interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse nationalities and cultures
- Excellent analytical skills – with the passion and drive to demonstrate and quantify success
- Results‑oriented with the ability to consistently map efforts against identified KPIs
- Excellent time‑management skills and flexibility in dealing with multi‑functional tasks
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of science education as it relates to KS 3, 4 and 5
- Evidence of outstanding teaching
