We are seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to join a fast‑paced environment for an exciting business in Newcastle. The successful candidate will oversee financial operations and ensure compliance with regulatory and financial standards. This is a 3‑5 month assignment while the company recruits a permanent appointment.

• Oversee all financial reporting and accounting operations within the organisation.
• Improve systems and accounting practices.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies.
• Prepare and present financial statements and management accounts.
• Manage cash flow and forecast financial performance.
• Support the budgeting process and provide financial insights to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with external auditors and manage audit processes effectively.
• Identify process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy.
• Lead and guide the finance team to achieve operational goals.

• Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.
• Experience in managing and developing finance teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to financial information to non‑financial stakeholders effectively.
• Proficiency in relevant financial software and tools.

• Competitive daily rate between £405 and £495.
• Exposure to a professional and collaborative work environment.
