Are you a relationship-driven banking professional who enjoys developing people, growing business, and helping customers achieve their financial goals? We're looking for a leader who understands that successful banking goes beyond originating loans. It's about building trust, developing strong teams, identifying opportunities, and delivering exceptional service.

As our Lending Relationship Officer, you'll work closely with executive leadership, guide a team of lending professionals, and play an important role in strengthening customer relationships and lending operations as First Service Bank continues to grow.

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll provide leadership and direction to our Lending Relationship Bankers while managing lending relationships, supporting business development, and promoting consistent lending practices across the Bank.

You’ll:

  • Lead, coach, and develop Lending Relationship Bankers while establishing clear expectations and accountability for performance, service, and relationship growth.
  • Originate and service consumer, commercial, and small business loans within established lending authority and Bank policies.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships while identifying opportunities to expand lending, deposit, and other banking services.
  • Gradually assume responsibility for an established loan portfolio through a coordinated transition with executive leadership.
  • Monitor portfolio quality, renewals, maturities, exceptions, and past-due activity to support sound lending decisions.
  • Partner with Commercial Banking, Mortgage Banking, Credit, Loan Operations, and branch teams to meet customers' broader financial needs.
  • Collaborate with lending leadership to strengthen processes, improve communication, and promote consistent lending procedures across branches.
  • Support team development, training, workload coordination, and cross-branch coverage.
  • Establish and monitor lending, deposit, service, and portfolio goals in partnership with executive leadership.
  • Represent First Service Bank through community involvement, business development, and relationship-building opportunities.

What You’ll Bring

We're looking for someone who combines lending experience, strong relationship-building skills, sound judgment, and the ability to lead and develop others.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in banking or lending, with knowledge of loan analysis, documentation, servicing, and customer relationship management.
  • Experience across multiple types of lending, including consumer and commercial lending, preferred.
  • A background in retail banking, deposit products, and business development preferred.
  • Previous experience managing, coaching, training, or developing associates preferred.
  • Working knowledge of banking regulations, lending practices, and credit principles.
  • Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Sound judgment and a commitment to customer service, confidentiality, and ethical banking practices.
