Direct Support Professional (FT/2nd)

Verland is seeking Direct Support Professionals to join our team in Hermitage, PA. This important role involves providing exceptional care to individuals who call Verland their home.

New Rate: $19.25/hr plus a $2,000 sign‑on bonus

Job Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)

Location: Hermitage, PA 16148

House Name: Hasenflu House

Week 1: 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday)
Week 2: 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday)

• Enrich and support the lives of residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment
• Introduce and encourage skill development through active treatment activities
• Implement individualized programs; record all observations and daily progress notes
• Participate in planning social, home, and recreational activities
• Assist with meals and perform cleaning and laundry duties in the house
• Transport clients to appointments and activities in Verland vehicles
• Bathe, dress, and assist clients with personal hygiene
• Housekeeping duties as needed
• Medication administration
• Other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to lift and transfer without restrictions
• Must pass a complete background, physical, and drug screening
• No prior experience required

Two weeks of paid training provided upon hire to educate new employees on daily living skills, social engagement, personal hygiene, and each resident’s care plan. Completion of training is required before starting work.
