STATEMENT OF JOB:
The Facilities Director is responsible for ABHS Fleet Management, while overseeing the ABHS Facilities Maintenance Team & Security Team to maintain an orderly, safe, and efficient operation. This includes directing the cleaning and sanitizing of all ABHS buildings/facilities. The Facilities Director manages the Facilities Departmental budget, oversees the stocking and replenishment of supplies, and provides the tools and equipment required to perform required maintenance.
In addition, the Facilities Director reports to the ABHS CEO, providing pertinent updates on the condition of all ABHS building/facilities. Duties will include suggesting improvements to process and safety procedures. This position also provides administrative program supervision to the Living With Purpose (LWP) Work Program.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Familiar with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures within this field.Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.Performs a variety of tasks plus leads and directs the work of others.Must have a wide degree of creativity and latitude for the position.Supervises a range of staff of facility maintenance workers who perform maintenance services and repairs in the areas of Fleet Management, Security, Janitorial, Maintenance, etc.Conduct contract negotiations, prepare and issue Purchase Orders and/or Contracts for equipment, materials, and third-party services, prepare and issue all relevant procurement reports on a regular basis throughout the project lifecycle.Ensures the maintenance procedures and technologies are consistent with production and cost goals and utilization human and material resources are both effective and efficient.Actively promotes safety awareness amongst company and contract personnel, and support and participate in safety initiatives.Direct and supervise outside contractors or vendors in connection with ABHS projects and plans.Assure the procurement of labor, materials, purchase services, utilities and contracts necessary to operate, maintain and repair the buildings, grounds, and systems.Provides custodial, maintenance, and security assistance to all departments within the agency.Develop plans of operation showing both structure and people needs directed toward fulfilling the objectives of ABHS.Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and prepare purchase orders when supplies are needed.Maintain all company vehicles (Fleet Management), including developing a schedule for cleaning vehicles and performing regular inspections.Provides maintenance as needed on vehicles, setting appropriate appointments, and keeping records of all scheduled maintenance required and completed.Demonstrate ability to work productively and harmoniously with supervisor and coworkers.Effective utilization of work time to ensure all assignments are completed in a thorough and timely manner.Updates upper-level management and other as needed.Participation in all required ABHS training.Abide by all applicable policies, procedures, and program standards of ABHS, White Mountain Apache Tribe, Indian Health Services, Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) and other pertinent regulatory authorities.Provide a positive role model to clients and staff through leadership, self-discipline, and genuine care for the treatment and recovery of clients. All clients and staff members must be treated with dignity and respect.Participation in all required ABHS training.Reports/attends work in timely manner. Must be reliable and communicate directly with supervisor in all matters of attendance.Performs other tasks as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education of an AA Degree, Bachelors or high education or equivalent work experience in all phases of facilities maintenance.Maintenance/Janitorial/Security/Fleet Management experience or any combination of experience or training related to the job description that will indicate skills and knowledge in the field.Ability of lift heavy objects, move furniture, and other physically taxing duties as assigned.Knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices.Ability to read maps and navigate in urban and rural settings.Demonstrate familiarity with JCAHO, OSHA, DPH, DPA, NFPA, State Building Codes,…
