Summary:
Essentra is seeking a full-time Research and Development Technician for our Flippin, AR facility. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager
, this role is responsible for fabricating robotic components, operating basic machine shop equipment, and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues in in-house robotic systems. This position is 100% onsite
, Monday-Friday, 7:45 a.m.
-3:45 p.m.
Typical Accountabilities:
- Operate mills, lathes, and welding equipment to build and modify robotic components.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues in robotic systems.
- Interpret technical information and apply problem-solving skills to resolve equipment faults.
- Follow structured work processes and complete tasks within established deadlines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (preferred).
- 1+ years of experience with injection molding robotics, production robotics, or related mechanical/electrical systems.
- Willingness to learn machining (mills, lathes) and welding of aluminum and steel.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic pneumatic and electrical circuits
. - A foundation in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, or electronic systems
. - Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Collaborative mindset and patience when working with equipment and colleagues.
- Regular standing, walking, and manual work.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
