The location in Ashdown, (Arkansas, United States), is seeking talent to fill the position of A1 Assistant Superintendent
. This job is full-time permanent.

Manage and lead the crews and staff associated with the A1 machine to achieve the machine’s objectives in the areas of safety and health, performance, environmental compliance, quality, customer satisfaction, productivity, and cost, while at the same time promote teamwork and continuous improvement to deliver on all customer requirements and service initiatives.

A bachelor’s degree in paper, chemical, or mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred. The applicant should also have 10 years or more of job-related experience in paper machine operations or the equivalent. The candidate must also possess complete knowledge of the pulp manufacturing process, have the ability to effectively manage personnel and have excellent oral and written communication skills.

An advanced level of knowledge and demonstrated track record in leading and managing world-class safety performance. Demonstrated abilities and high-level results in pulp manufacturing, maintenance planning, scheduling, quality assurance, human relations, and continuous improvement.

Demonstrated ability to lead and manage others within the A1 group as a team member. The successful candidate must possess the capacity to lead, by example, and have a demonstrated track record of managing a department with a high degree of accountability at all levels.
