Maintenance Technician / Mechanic

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Position is responsible for maintaining equipment in good working condition.
Responsibilities- Perform routine preventive maintenance repairs
- Perform preventing maintenance
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plant equipment
- Minimize downtime due to equipment failure
- Support production in addressing equipment problems during shift
- Handle all mechanical problems that may arise
- Ensure work area is clean at all time
- Record keeping and attention to detail
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 20 pounds repeatedly during shift
- Ability to push, pull and lift up to 75 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day
- Repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, and gripping
- Frequent overhead work
- Basic math skills: percentages, fractions, and measurements
- Position will require Lock Out Tag Out certification
- Must be enrolled in a mechanical training program (example: C4, North Arkansas Community College)
