The Nucor Skyline Armorel, AR EHS Coordinator responsibilities include, but are not limited to, taking care of our customers by executing the division’s safety, environmental, quality, cost, productivity, and profitability objectives.

Responsibilities also include:

• Working with state and federal safety and environmental regulations
• Analyzing compliance, environmental permitting and reporting for air, water, and waste
• Implementing best practices
• Implementing effective communication systems for environmental, safety and health issues
• Maintaining the safety and environmental management systems
• Assisting with the development of safe job analysis and safe job procedures
• Identifying training needs and delivering training
• Auditing safety and environmental efforts
  
  Participating in and/or leading safety focus teams
• Coordinating industrial hygiene monitoring

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

• Prior experience in EHS necessary

• Experience working with Safety and Environmental Management Systems and standards in the steel manufacturing environment
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with Safety & Environmental Management Systems and standards in manufacturing environment or related experience
• Experience with air, water, and waste permitting, compliance, and reporting
• Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental, or related field
• OSHA 30‑hour training
• Certified to conduct OSHA trainings
