Responsibilities
  • Assist and work with the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager to perform necessary repairs and preventive maintenance throughout the property.
  • Maintain residential apartment homes, public spaces, outside grounds, and equipment.
  • Accompany designated office hours at each community location to ensure operations run effectively.
  • Property Appearance/Upkeep: keep the property neat, clean, and well-maintained; perform daily exterior and interior inspections; cross-utilization of Ground keeper duties may be required.
  • Appliance Maintenance: troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct minor failures in air conditioning and heating units; repair minor electrical and plumbing problems.
  • Make Ready: bring units to market-ready condition per company standards; some painting may be required.
  • Laundry room: maintain laundry rooms per company guidelines.
  • Pool Maintenance (if applicable): perform daily chemical inspections, maintenance, and cleaning to meet city codes and company standards.
  • Customer Service: ensure property meets/exceeds company standards for resident satisfaction and be available for on-call emergencies as requested by the Community Manager.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Position Requirements
  • Education:

    Pool certification preferred; HVAC certification and boiler certification if appropriate.
  • Physical & Cognitive: ability to work in a state of alertness and safety; frequent standing/walking; ability to lift/carry up to 110 pounds; occasional squatting, reaching, stooping, climbing stairs/ladders, and balancing.
  • Driving (if required):
    • Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record with company insurance
    • Reliable means of transportation
    • Proof of personal auto liability insurance when using vehicles for company business
Qualifications
  • Education:

    High School diploma or better.
  • Experience:

    1 year of residential property maintenance experience.
  • Licenses &

    Certifications:

    As listed in Education/Experience;
    Pool/HVAC/boiler certifications as applicable.
