✨Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! The Arkansas Juvenile Assessment and Treatment Center (AJATC) in Bryant, Arkansas is hiring for a Direct Juvenile Support Worker. ✨
AJATC is a secure residential program for at‑risk male and female youth, located on 110 acres just outside of Little Rock, AR. Through our trained programming for staff, AJATC promotes a normalized high school experience, offers a safe environment and provides opportunities for positive change, as well as providing the unlimited potential for achievement and growth for students and staff. The campus features residential student dormitories, on‑site school, library, vocational training program, chapel, gymnasium, medical area and an outdoor recreation area.
Pay$17.75 - $18.82 per hour based on education and experience. Schedule includes 4 hours of guaranteed overtime each pay period.
What you will doA Direct Juvenile Support Worker provides in‑person safety and security around the clock. In this role, you will provide for the physical, personal and health needs of each youth through individual mentoring and skill development. Direct Juvenile Support Workers create a supportive atmosphere for the youth’s needs; monitor and document behaviors and activities; and participate and assist with educational, social, athletic and recreational activities.
You will collaborate with other professional staff to establish and meet the goals of each youth’s treatment plan. This specific position will work directly on our Intake & Assessment Unit.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test
- Be able to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry
- Must meet the requirements to become an ROP eligible driver, including having a valid Driver’s License
3 Days, 8‑Hour Shift
A‑Shift: Sunday through Tuesday, 7 AM to 3 PM OR 12 PM to 8 PM
B‑Shift: Thursday through Saturday, 7 AM to 3 PM OR 12 PM to 8 PM
