The Lewisville Juvenile Treatment Center (L.J.T.C.), nestled in the serene setting of rural Lafayette County, is dedicated to transforming the lives of at‑risk young males. Pay : $16.00 - $17.17 per hour based on education and experience.

What you will do: As a Cook, you will ensure that healthy and tasty food is prepared and served to the youth and staff on‑site, help maintain the cleanliness and safety of the kitchen and dining area, and be an active team player within the department. Training will be provided; however, if you have related experience and/or Serv‑Safe certification, you may be eligible to start above entry‑level.

• Be at least 21 years of age
• Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test
• Be able to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry
• Have a clean driving record and an active driver’s license

• Full‑Time and Part‑Time Available
• AM Shift: 4:30 AM – 1:00 PM
• PM Shift: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM

• High School Diploma (Required)

• Experience preparing food in accordance with Federal, State, Local, Tribal, and national School Lunch and Breakfast Program requirements.
• Ability to perform duties in the prepping and cooking of food.
• Ensure the safety, health, and welfare of staff and students at all times.
• Provide encouragement, guidance, and resources to staff and students when needed.
• Treat others with respect and confront negative behavior to support positive outcomes.
