Receive and Inspect Materials
- Unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips or purchase orders.
- Report and document any damage or discrepancies.
- Safely move raw materials, parts, and finished goods to designated areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Support production or warehouse operations by ensuring timely material flow.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through scanning, labeling, and data entry.
- Perform counts and assist in physical inventory audits.
- Pick materials or products from inventory using appropriate procedures.
- Pack, label, and prepare shipments according to company or customer requirements.
- Follow safety procedures and report hazards or incidents.
- Keep work spaces organized and clean to support lean manufacturing principles.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment and report maintenance issues.
- Complete shipping, receiving, and inventory forms accurately.
- Communicate any issues with materials, inventory levels, or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Work closely with production, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure material needs are met.
- Assist in resolving material shortages or discrepancies.
- Suggest process improvements for material handling efficiency and safety.
- Participate in training and cross-training efforts as needed.
