Dental Hygienist – Chemistry – Arlington, MA

Overview

Nexus HR is looking for an experienced Dental Hygienist for a reputable family and pediatric dental practice. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care, focused on preventive dental services, and dedicated to promoting excellent oral health. Base pay range

$40.00/hr - $57.00/hr

Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth.
  • Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments, including periodontal charting and evaluation of oral tissues.
  • Take, process, and evaluate dental radiographs to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Administer preventive treatments such as fluoride applications and dental sealants.
  • Educate patients—children and adults—on proper brushing and flossing techniques, diet, and lifestyle habits.
  • Accurately document patient medical histories, treatment plans, and procedures using dental software.
  • Maintain strict infection control and sterilization procedures in accordance with OSHA and CDC guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the dentist and other team members during patient exams and procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain dental hygiene supplies and equipment, reporting any issues or needs to management.
Qualifications
  • At least 1-4 years of clinical experience.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene.
  • Current and valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of Massachusetts.
  • CPR Certification or BCPR training preferred.
  • Proficient in dental software and charting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Patient, determined, and passionate about patient care.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
