Dental Hygienist – Chemistry – Arlington, MA
OverviewNexus HR is looking for an experienced Dental Hygienist for a reputable family and pediatric dental practice. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care, focused on preventive dental services, and dedicated to promoting excellent oral health. Base pay range$40.00/hr - $57.00/hr
Responsibilities- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth.
- Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments, including periodontal charting and evaluation of oral tissues.
- Take, process, and evaluate dental radiographs to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Administer preventive treatments such as fluoride applications and dental sealants.
- Educate patients—children and adults—on proper brushing and flossing techniques, diet, and lifestyle habits.
- Accurately document patient medical histories, treatment plans, and procedures using dental software.
- Maintain strict infection control and sterilization procedures in accordance with OSHA and CDC guidelines.
- Collaborate with the dentist and other team members during patient exams and procedures.
- Monitor and maintain dental hygiene supplies and equipment, reporting any issues or needs to management.
- At least 1-4 years of clinical experience.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene.
- Current and valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of Massachusetts.
- CPR Certification or BCPR training preferred.
- Proficient in dental software and charting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patient, determined, and passionate about patient care.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
