After School Program Teachers

Overview

Arlington Public Schools is looking for individuals to join our after-school program. We strive to create an environment where children enjoy their time, teachers are engaged with the students, and staff can create their own curriculum. We are mentors and friends to the students, part of the school, and supported by teachers and administrators. We provide structure for students to try new things in a safe setting and aim to make a difference in students’ lives.

Position currently available
:
Science teachers, Music teachers, Physical Education teachers, History teachers, World History teachers, Art teachers.

• Curriculum preparation for a specific subject area
• General oversight of students
• Homework help
• Supervision of children in classroom, gym, art, playground, theater, computer lab and during snack
• Snack preparation and cleanup
• General cleanup of areas used by after-school

1:00pm - 6:00pm Mon - Tue, Thurs - Fri; 12:00pm - 6:00pm Wed. Some additional hours for early release days, vacations and trainings.

Starting salary $18-$23/hr for 10 months. Health and vacation benefits available.
