SummaryThe position focuses on Business Development and overall management of a portfolio, supported by a strong Credit Management Team. This highly visible role is backed by the Management Team and an engaged board of directors.
Responsibilities- Business Development:
- Solicit, negotiate, process, and coordinate Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Lending transactions of varying size and complexity in compliance with the Bank’s Lending policies and procedures.
- Interview prospective applicants and guide them through the CRE loan transaction process.
- Develop strong business relationships with new, existing, and prospective customers, and promote the Bank’s products and services.
- Maximize the Bank’s profitability by building a personal portfolio and pipeline.
- Generate leads and activity through community leadership, self‑directed prospecting, referral generation, and new business development efforts.
- Credit/Portfolio Management:
- Maintain frequent contact with clients and ensure credit and service needs are properly handled.
- Gather and analyze information necessary to present a financial request or application to the appropriate approval authority.
- Coordinate processing and closing of approved loans, overseeing loan documentation, resolving processing issues, and approving disbursements.
- Monitor and service existing CRE loans, conducting annual reviews, overseeing construction progress, negotiating renewals, and addressing delinquencies, modifications, or workouts.
- Participate with members of Management to develop, analyze, and finalize major or complex loan agreements or transactions.
- Present lending transactions to the Bank’s Loan Committee or Board of Directors.
- Participate in committees as assigned.
- Monitor and recommend appropriate actions for changes in credit quality of the portfolio, including early identification of problem loans and remedial action.
- Assist in responding to audit and regulatory oversight requests.
- Cross‑Functional Partnering and Industry/Community Involvement:
- Collaborate across the Bank to support strategic growth plans.
- Partner cross‑functionally and cross‑sell products and services.
- Engage in community outreach and represent the Bank at civic functions to enhance its image and market share.
- Prior experience as a Commercial Lender, including originating and analyzing Commercial Real Estate loans/Lending transactions.
- Mastery over all aspects of Commercial Lending, including originating, underwriting, monitoring, processing, and servicing.
- Proven success in marketing and business development.
- Solid credit skills, including advanced knowledge of financial statement and tax return analysis in the Commercial Lending context.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, communication, and decision‑making skills.
- Advanced knowledge of federal and state Lending and compliance requirements.
- Understanding and familiarity with nCino preferred, but not required.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
Salary Minimum: $127,621 - Salary Max: $191,431
. The range listed is one component of the total compensation package, which may include annual bonuses, commissions, short‑ and long‑term incentives, and program‑specific awards.
