We’re seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to lead and contribute to the design, analysis, detailing, and quality assurance of mechanical systems for diverse building projects. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience across the full project lifecycle and excels at collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure mechanical designs meet quality standards, applicable codes, and client expectations.

This position will report to our office location in Arlington, TN.
Salary Range: $110,000 - $135,000 annually
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties, but not all duties performed for this position. Other duties may be assigned.
- Lead the design, analysis, and modeling of mechanical systems using industry‑standard software and BIM tools
- Develop and review HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems for commercial, institutional, and federal building projects
- Serve as Engineer of Record, preparing, reviewing, and sealing construction documents as required
- Provide senior‑level technical oversight and quality assurance for mechanical calculations, drawings, and specifications
- Perform and oversee field inspections, job site visits, and inspection reports on a periodic basis as needed
- Maintain and foster relationships with existing clients, ensuring all project requirements, schedules, and deliverables are met
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, designers, and internal departments to ensure design feasibility, constructability, and compliance with applicable codes and standards
- Mentor, train, and foster the professional growth of junior engineers and design staff
- Support proposal development, scope definition, and technical reviews as needed
To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) License (any state)
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in mechanical engineering design for building systems
- Proficiency in Revit and mechanical design/analysis software
- Advanced knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical system design principles and construction practices
- Thorough understanding of applicable codes and standards (ASHRAE, IMC, IPC, NFPA, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and provide technical direction
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and sound engineering judgment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including client‑facing interaction
As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre‑employment drug screening (post accepted offer) and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
