Overall Summary

This position requires very close work and alignment with key executives and serves as the principal resource to align the key executive and their staff, cross‑functional teams, external partners, and vendors to insure the successful achievement of the executive's key organizational priorities.

The Principal, Strategic Programs is responsible and accountable for achieving successful outcomes with key strategic and tactical organizational work and programs. This role works cross‑functionally and with external partners and vendors as needed. The position is viewed as an expert within the organization, acts as a proxy for executive leadership, and is empowered to make necessary decisions for the organization, directing and influencing the work of others.

The role develops solutions to high‑complexity problems, brings a clear sense of urgency, and demonstrates a proven track record of tracking and driving successful systems, processes, work product and outcomes across the organization.

Your Duties
  • Lead, guide and facilitate the successful outcomes of the executive's key organizational priorities.
  • Develop and apply proven methodologies to support the business in meeting focused goals and objectives.
  • Provide project and workflow management across the business, as assigned by executive management.
  • Align, synchronize, and drive the team's efforts toward completing work and projects to support business strategy and company performance objectives.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams, external partners, and vendors to maintain alignment and deliver results.
  • Foster and implement continuous improvement methodology.
Technical Responsibilities
  • Principal programs leader for complex orthopedic reconstruction implantable devices and instruments.
  • Collaborate and communicate with key executives, project sponsors and stakeholders to ensure the end product and processes solve the business need.
  • Direct responsibility for strategic and tactical execution to drive objectives that support the operational, financial, and competitive goals of the organization.
  • Develop, maintain, and drive completion of project and work deliverable schedules.
  • Ensure that cross‑functional resources are assigned and held accountable for task and outcome completion.
  • Lead and conduct programs, project status, systems requirements, vendor review, and other cross‑functional meetings, documenting proceedings and following up on action items.
  • Provide direct and regular communication to management on project and work status relative to the schedule, budget, risks, opportunities, and issues.
  • Work to directly resolve all possible issues without involving key executives.
  • Provide feedback to functional department heads on an ongoing basis and during the strategic planning and performance management process.
  • Foster an environment of collaboration, continuous improvement, and best practices throughout the organization, with external partners and vendors.
