Overview
Join Micro Port Orthopedics as a Machinist (Weekend Day Shift) working Friday, Saturday & Sunday 7:00am-7:30pm. This position includes a shift premium of 11.1% (40 hours per week) and competitive base salary with bonus opportunities.

As a Machinist I, you will operate CNC and manual machines (mills, lathes, grinders) to manufacture medical device components. Key duties include:
- Operate and set up multiple machines.
- Manufacture parts that meet specifications and quality assurance requirements, using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines.
- Achieve daily production quotas and maintain accurate device history records.
- Enter required production data into Micro Port business systems and perform routine preventive maintenance.
Machinist II responsibilities include:
- Set up and operate multiple CNC/Manual machines, including multi‑axis CNCs.
- Perform auxiliary operations such as inspection, metal finishing, robot operation, and material handling.
- Collaborate with Engineering to develop and improve production processes.
- Communicate with peers and management to ensure optimal efficiency.
- Train other machinists in core job duties.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to understand metric and English units of measure.
- Basic blueprint reading, metrology, and small‑part machining skills.
- Experience with CNC machines or completion of a CNC technical school (Machinist I requires 2 years or completion; Machinist II requires 4 years or 2 years plus completion).
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in a team.

- Required:
High School Diploma or GED. - Preferred:
Technical school training.
- Machinist I: 2 years experience or CNC technical school completion.
- Machinist II: 4 years experience or 2 years plus CNC technical school completion.
