Summary

The Accountant II, Complex Accounting role, will analyze complex accounting transactions and positions in order to provide accurate and timely accounting guidance across the organization and to leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform and review revenue recognition analysis to conform to the requirements per ASC 606 and IFRS 15.
  • Review Lease Accounting analysis, prolease schedules, and associated accounting entries.
  • Reconcile US GAAP reporting with IFRS standards.
  • Perform technical accounting research on various topics.
  • Perform joint venture accounting.
  • Prepare memos and whitepapers to document accounting treatment and conclusions.
  • Provide accounting guidance and company policies to other functions.
  • Participate in process improvements, reporting enhancements and special projects as needed.
  • Provide support to the accounting close process.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business‑related field
  • 4 years finance / accounting experience
  • Experience with Revenue Recognition standard(s)
  • Experience with Accounting for Leases
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making capabilities
  • Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
Preferred Skills
  • CPA or CMA Preferred
  • Experience with Costpoint, Cognos, Adaptive, and Hyperion (HFM) a plus
Security Responsibilities
  • Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need‑to‑know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
