We are seeking an Accounting Consultant at the Controller level to join our growing Financial Operations practice in the DFW area.

• Build and maintain relationships with Current and prospective clients
• Interact with BPC members in Financial Operations and other practice areas of the firm to coordinate excellent delivery
• Assist with reconciliations, month end reporting, preparing clients for audit, cleaning up their books, and assisting their department with integration of merger and acquisition data
• Interact directly with the client contact (CFO, Controller) and their staff
• Provide project status updates, feedback, and thoughtful insights into client challenges for your delivery manager
• Embrace flexibility and take on tasks and assignments that maybe out of your comfort zone

• 6+ years of hands‑on full‑cycle accounting experience
• B.A. or B.S. required, Accounting or Finance degrees preferred
• Strong desire for consulting‑style work and delivering excellent customer service
• Industry experience in start-ups, technology, software, oilfield services, insurance and Big Four/public accounting is highly preferred
• Experience with monthly close procedures, monthly and quarterly financial reporting
• Recent hands‑on experience with routine accounting processes such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and cash management
• Hands‑on experience with accounting software (i.e. Quick Books, Net Suite, Great Plains or Intacct)
• Ability to adapt to various client environments, and communicate effectively at all levels within the organization
• Demonstration of a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, experience researching technical GAAP issues
• Past experience working in small to mid‑sized company environment with the ability to multi‑task and wear several hats

• CPA and/or MBA preferred
• Prior employment by a Big Four or other nationally recognized accounting firms
• Industry experience in emerging growth, technology, and SaaS companies
• Revenue Recognitions highly preferred
