Career Matchmaker (ex. audit, accounting & advisory)
My client has recently been acquired by a powerhouse PE fund (8 billion AUM with investments in over 30 companies). The company is family‑run (about $25 million in revenue) and operates in the HVAC construction, maintenance, and service solutions space around the Dallas/Fort Worth region.
The management teams have years of experience in the construction, mechanical, and maintenance fields.
The staff complement is approximately 50, with most personnel working in the field (technicians) and around 20 % of those in the office, including bookkeepers (A/R and AP), an Admin Manager, and others. Currently, the accounting is outsourced to a CFO Advisory firm, and the intention is to bring this in‑house with this hire.
The company seeks to hire a controller to join the team and take ownership of the accounting and finance function, from the month‑end close, financial reporting under US GAAP, presentation of management accounts to the PE firm, tax compliance, oversight of processes and controls, preparation of financial statements, payroll, and other ad hoc functions as needed.
The role is very hands‑on in nature, with a greater emphasis on execution rather than review. There will be other staff members who will report to and support you.
Looking to make the hire in mid to late January. The interview process will not be prolonged.
