• Preparing and reviewing returns
• Working directly with clients
• Managing your own workload
• Owning your work in a firm where it's visible

• Ideally 4+ years of tax experience in a CPA or public accounting firm
• Confident preparing and reviewing returns and communicating with clients
• CPA or EA is a plus, not essential
• CCH Axcess, Lacerte or Ultra Tax is useful, though other software is welcome
