A respected and growing Commercial General Contractor in the Dallas–Fort Worth market is seeking a Healthcare Superintendent to oversee interior and ground‑up healthcare projects across the region. This firm values strong communication, leadership presence, and the ability to maintain calm, collaborative jobsite environments above all else.
While healthcare project experience is strongly preferred,
soft skills, professionalism, and leadership capability are more important than specific project type expertise.
This role is ideal for a superintendent with a strong educational foundation, excellent people skills, and a desire to grow within a supportive and well‑resourced GC.
About the RoleThe Superintendent will be responsible for day‑to‑day field operations on healthcare construction projects, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence. This position requires an effective communicator who can manage subcontractors, interact professionally with hospital staff, and represent the GC with poise and confidence.
Key Responsibilities- Lead daily field operations for healthcare construction projects.
- Manage subcontractor coordination, sequencing, and productivity.
- Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized jobsite.
- Build strong working relationships with hospital staff, clients, design teams, and trade partners.
- Conduct daily reports, site walkthroughs, and regular OAC coordination meetings.
- Maintain project documentation including logs, inspections, and field communications.
- Support project scheduling and anticipate impacts to milestones.
- Ensure quality control throughout all phases of the project.
- Help create a jobsite culture built on professionalism, accountability, and teamwork.
- Bachelor’s degree is REQUIRED (Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field).
- Experience as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent in commercial construction.
- Healthcare construction experience preferred, but soft skills and leadership are prioritized
. - Strong communication skills and calm, professional presence.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with owners, architects, subcontractors, and medical staff.
- Proficiency with construction technology (Procore, Bluebeam, scheduling software).
- Willingness to relocate if not currently based in DFW (preferred but not required).
