The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Ground-Up Grocery Store Superintendent to lead the construction of new-build grocery stores from dirt to grand opening. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you will manage the entire field operation, drive schedule and quality, and deliver projects that exceed client expectations.

• Lead all on-site construction activities for ground-up grocery store projects
• Manage trade partners and vendors to ensure safety, quality, and schedule compliance
• Develop and maintain detailed 4-week look-ahead schedules and milestone plans
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and owners to resolve issues quickly and keep the project on track
• Conduct daily site walks, quality control inspections, and safety meetings
• Manage project documentation, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and daily reports
• Mentor and develop assistant superintendents and field staff
• Uphold Ridgemont’s commitment to excellence, safety, and positive team culture

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on ground-up commercial construction projects
• Proven track record successfully delivering grocery stores, supermarkets, or large-format retail (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of commercial building systems (concrete, steel, MEP, finishes)
• Experience managing fast-track schedules and multi-trade coordination
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude and keep the team motivated under pressure
• Proficient with ACC, Microsoft Project, or similar construction management software
• OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
