Our client, a Dallas-based architecture firm, is seeking a talented Interior Designer to join their dynamic and relationship-driven team. This role is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented designer who thrives in a collaborative setting and is passionate about creating functional, beautiful, and enduring interior environments.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with architects, project managers, and clients to develop cohesive interior design concepts that align with project goals and overall architectural vision.
- Lead the interior design process from programming and concept development through design documentation and construction administration.
- Prepare finish plans, furniture layouts, color palettes, material selections, and detailed specifications.
- Develop and maintain interior design deliverables, including presentation boards, renderings, and sample boards for client meetings.
- Conduct product research and coordinate with vendors and manufacturers to source furnishings, fixtures, materials, and finishes.
- Participate in client meetings to understand project requirements, present design concepts, and gather feedback.
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, ADA standards, and industry regulations relevant to interior environments.
- Coordinate with the larger project team to ensure interior design details are integrated seamlessly into construction documents.
- Support construction administration efforts, including reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and conducting site visits as needed.
- Contribute to the firm’s culture of collaboration, relationship-building, and community engagement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field from an accredited program.
- 3+ years of professional interior design experience; experience with commercial, multifamily, industrial, institutional, or healthcare projects strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Revit
, AutoCAD
, and Microsoft Office required; experience with Sketch Up
, Enscape
, Photoshop
, or other visualization tools is a plus. - Strong understanding of materials, finishes, FF&E, building codes, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- NCIDQ certification or progress toward certification is preferred.
