Adjunct Faculty – Adult Gerontology Primary Care NP

The Department of Graduate Nursing in the College of Nursing and Health Innovation, University of Texas at Arlington invites applications for a part‑time, temporary, non‑tenured faculty position in the Adult Gerontology Primary Care NP Program. The appointment is part‑time with no guarantee of renewal and will support teaching in online, clinical, laboratory, and classroom settings.

• Provides instruction within the College of Nursing and Health Innovation.
• Reports directly to the Department Chair.
• Maintains academic standards as established by the university, CONHI and Department of Graduate Nursing.
• Teaches students in online, clinical, laboratory, and classroom settings.
• Assumes responsibility for and/or participates in the planning and organization of courses to which assigned.
• Participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of school, program, course and student activities.

• Master’s in Nursing or Post‑Graduate Certificate in Nursing.
• A current, unencumbered AGPCNP/Adult NP/Gero NP license in the State of Texas.
• Current board certification as an AGPCNP/Adult NP/Gero NP from AANP or ANCC.
• A minimum of 2–3 years of experience evaluating, diagnosing, and managing patients in an adult/gerontology primary‑care setting.
• Must remain active in evaluating, diagnosing, and managing patients in an adult gerontology primary‑care setting or subspecialty practice to retain employment.

• Earned Doctorate in Nursing or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience teaching or precepting.
