Matching Texas construction professionals with multifamily, homebuilding and commercial businessesBlayze Recruitment are partnered with a leading Commercial General Contractor based in Dallas, TX in their search for a Building Information Modeling (BIM)/ Virtual Construction Manager (VCM). This role plays a critical part in integrating technology with construction execution, ensuring projects are coordinated, efficient, and accurately represented from design through closeout.
You will work collaboratively with architects, engineers, trade partners, and internal project teams to develop and execute cutting-edge virtual construction strategies, while also supporting business development and marketing efforts by showcasing the firm’s technology capabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Lead BIM coordination by organizing, hosting, and facilitating virtual construction meetings for active projects.
- Collaborate with project teams—including architects, engineers, trade partners, and project managers—to develop virtual construction plans and schedules.
- Perform laser scanning of current and potential projects, including those without existing as-built documentation, and model structures using scan data.
- Provide accurate BIM models and laser scan data for project closeout documentation.
- Support business development and marketing teams with RFP responses, proposals, and technology-focused content for presentations and social media.
- Participate in client interviews (both in-person and virtual) to present the company’s digital construction capabilities.
- Develop models as needed when trade partners are unable to, or for conceptual and pursuit-phase modeling.
- Train and mentor staff on BIM technologies, workflows, and best practices.
- Research, test, and implement emerging construction technologies to improve efficiency and collaboration.
- Attend at least one construction technology conference per year to stay informed on industry innovations.
- Operate drones for data capture, either as an existing FAA Part 107 certified pilot or by obtaining certification (the company will cover the cost).
