You will be part of WSB's Construction and Design Build Services Group with our Contract Administration team helping to deliver successful projects while performing field visits, verifying compliance with the plans and specifications, and producing project documentation for private, municipal, county, TxDOT and federal projects. The position will also provide the opportunity to work on a variety of project delivery methods including Design‑Build, CMGC, /IQ and conventional design/bid/build projects.

• This person will perform Quality Assurance (QA) inspection as required by the State or clientele and guidelines and will follow governing standards for hot mix production testing procedures.
• The ideal candidate would have a background in Hot Mix Plant Inspection and Testing, a working knowledge of plant operations and bituminous mix design and a background in materials properties.
• The candidate would perform onsite or at the plant production testing and observations along with other material testing assignments, including working on obtaining additional certifications, quality control, and project documentation.
• This will include contact with clients, contractors, public agencies and private owners.
• Candidate must be able to read and understand contracts, plans, special provisions and documents related to roadway and bridge construction and have a functional understanding of and/or the ability to learn contract administration software and Microsoft office software.

• A successful candidate must have the following TxDOT Technical
  
  Certifications:
  
  TXAPA Level 1A,
• In depth knowledge and understanding of TxDOT schedule of materials control and TxDOT Specification Manual.

• Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work occasional overnight and weekend assignments.
• Candidates must also hold a valid driver's license.
• Candidates must dependable, be willing to work with flexible hours, be on an on‑call basis, and willing to work long extended hours during peak season.
