Senior Consultant - DFW Civil Infrastructure Project Manager – Water Conveyance / Treatment Overview
A well-established and growing engineering consulting firm is seeking a Project Manager to support and lead water and wastewater conveyance and treatment projects in North Texas. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys staying close to the technical work while continuing to grow into broader project and team leadership responsibilities.
You’ll manage day-to-day project delivery, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and serve as a key point of contact for clients—while also mentoring junior engineers and contributing to proposal efforts and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the execution of water and wastewater conveyance and treatment projects, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget alignment
- Coordinate with internal teams and subconsultants to manage schedules, task assignments, and resources
- Support development of project scopes, budgets, and work plans in collaboration with senior leadership
- Lead design coordination and review technical deliverables for quality, consistency, and constructability
- Serve as the day-to-day client contact, maintaining clear and proactive communication
- Assist with regulatory coordination and permitting with local and state agencies
- Identify project risks and work with senior PMs to develop practical, effective solutions
- Mentor and support junior engineers and designers, fostering technical growth and team development
- Participate in proposal development and project pursuits, building client-facing and leadership skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required
- 8+ years of experience in water and wastewater treatment and/or conveyance design
- Demonstrated experience leading tasks or managing projects from planning through construction support
- Strong understanding of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices
- Organized, proactive approach to project delivery and team coordination
- Interest in continuous learning and emerging treatment technologies
