We’re seeking an experienced Electrical Drafter to join a growing engineering team that’s leading the design and construction of a new, state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing facility. In this role, you’ll take ownership of electrical and control system drawing sets in both 2D and 3D formats, ensuring every document reflects accuracy, compliance, and constructability. You’ll work closely with electrical engineers, project managers, and field teams to translate complex concepts into clear, code‑compliant design packages that support safe and efficient project execution. This position offers the chance to shape drafting standards, influence design quality, and contribute to high‑impact projects that drive innovation in modern manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, revise, and maintain 2D and 3D electrical and control system drawings, including schematics, wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, and network routing plans.
- Translate engineering concepts and field inputs into construction‑ready documentation that meets project and code requirements.
- Apply relevant standards (NEC, NEMA, IEC, ISA) to ensure all designs meet quality, compliance, and safety expectations.
- Maintain strict version control, ensuring all drawing sets and revisions are accurately tracked throughout the project lifecycle.
- Integrate vendor submittals, equipment data, and third‑party drawings into cohesive internal design packages.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, field technicians, and contractors to validate design accuracy, troubleshoot issues, and resolve RFIs during construction and commissioning.
- Participate in formal design reviews, contribute to drawing QA/QC processes, and recommend improvements to templates and workflows.
- Support planning and estimating by providing design labor projections and technical input for project scheduling and procurement.
- Maintain organized archives of both digital and physical drawing files to ensure full project traceability and compliance with documentation standards.
- Promote cross‑discipline coordination by collaborating with mechanical, process, and controls teams to ensure cohesive system integration.
The ideal candidate is a detail‑driven drafter with a strong foundation in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Revit, or Solid Works
, and at least five years of experience supporting industrial or manufacturing projects

You’re confident interpreting and applying codes and standards, skilled at managing multiple priorities in fast‑paced environments, and enjoy working shoulder‑to‑shoulder with engineers and field teams to deliver precise, high‑quality design work. Most importantly, you bring initiative, pride in craftsmanship, and a proactive approach to improving documentation and design consistency across projects.
