Base pay range $/yr - $/yr
The RoleAs an Electrical Estimator, you’ll play a critical role in shaping high‑value projects before they ever break ground. You’ll collaborate closely with operations, project management, and leadership to produce accurate, competitive estimates that support profitable, well‑executed work.
You’ll be estimating projects that are:
- Technically challenging
- Operationally complex
- Built for repeat clients who value quality and reliability
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and scope documents to perform detailed takeoffs
- Prepare complete bid proposals including labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs
- Lead pre‑bid efforts such as site visits, scope reviews, and bid strategy meetings
- Identify project risks, constructability concerns, and value‑engineering opportunities
- Build strong relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Partner with project managers to ensure seamless transitions from bid to build
- Assist procurement with purchasing and subcontract agreements
- Track bid performance to improve accuracy and estimating processes
- Stay current with NEC requirements, distribution systems, and industry best practices
- Proven experience estimating commercial and/or industrial electrical projects
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and construction practices
- Ability to confidently interpret blueprints and contract documents
- Demonstrated success winning profitable work in competitive markets
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and deadline‑driven
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Bluebeam
- Con Est Intellibid experience required
- $100,000 – $125,000 base salary
