A multi‑discipline engineering firm is seeking a Texas‑licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) to support and lead stormwater and water resources projects. This role combines hands‑on technical delivery with project management responsibilities, serving as a key technical resource and signing engineer while mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary signing engineer for stormwater and water resources projects.
- Manage schedules and budgets across multiple active projects.
- Perform and oversee hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and drainage analyses.
- Provide technical leadership, training, and oversight to staff at varying experience levels.
- Prepare and review technical reports and calculations.
- Coordinate with and communicate regularly with public agencies and private‑sector clients.
- Lead and participate in client and stakeholder meetings.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (ABET‑accredited).
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensed in Texas (additional state licensure a plus).
- 5+ years of experience managing and delivering H&H‑focused projects.
- Strong technical expertise with HEC‑HMS, HEC‑RAS, ArcGIS, and AutoCAD.
- Solid understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic principles (Rational Method, Unit Hydrographs, Manning’s Equation, closed system analyses).
- Experience with FEMA LOMC submittals preferred.
- Familiarity with Texas Dam Safety regulations and dam breach analysis a plus.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple fast‑paced projects while mentoring junior engineers.
- Established engineering firm with a strong regional presence in Texas.
