Business Development Executive

A multi‑discipline engineering firm is seeking a Texas‑licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) to support and lead stormwater and water resources projects. This role combines hands‑on technical delivery with project management responsibilities, serving as a key technical resource and signing engineer while mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary signing engineer for stormwater and water resources projects.
  • Manage schedules and budgets across multiple active projects.
  • Perform and oversee hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and drainage analyses.
  • Provide technical leadership, training, and oversight to staff at varying experience levels.
  • Prepare and review technical reports and calculations.
  • Coordinate with and communicate regularly with public agencies and private‑sector clients.
  • Lead and participate in client and stakeholder meetings.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (ABET‑accredited).
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensed in Texas (additional state licensure a plus).
  • 5+ years of experience managing and delivering H&H‑focused projects.
  • Strong technical expertise with HEC‑HMS, HEC‑RAS, ArcGIS, and AutoCAD.
  • Solid understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic principles (Rational Method, Unit Hydrographs, Manning’s Equation, closed system analyses).
  • Experience with FEMA LOMC submittals preferred.
  • Familiarity with Texas Dam Safety regulations and dam breach analysis a plus.
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple fast‑paced projects while mentoring junior engineers.
