Job Description & How to Apply Below

Pacific International has been retained by a global manufacturing organization at a pivotal point in its growth and transformation. The company is seeking a strategic and operationally-minded Senior Director Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to serve as the right hand to the CFO and a key leader in driving financial performance, value creation, and executive decision-making.

This highly visible role will lead the global FP&A function across a complex, multi-site manufacturing footprint. The leader will oversee budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting, while working cross-functionally to enable the delivery of operational plans and transformation objectives. With a direct line to the board of directors and private equity ownership, this is a high-impact opportunity for a finance executive who thrives in performance-driven, change-oriented environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Strategy & Leadership: Act as a trusted advisor to the CFO and executive leadership team, providing financial insights to support strategic planning, resource allocation, and long-term value creation.
  • Global Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the development of the global annual budget and quarterly forecasts, working across business units and regions to align financial targets with operational plans.
  • Performance Analysis & Reporting: Oversee monthly and quarterly financial performance analysis across the P&L, working capital, capital investment, and cash flow. Distill complex data into actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
  • Executive Communication: Own the creation of impactful, board-ready financial presentations and reports that communicate key performance drivers and strategic implications.
  • Finance Transformation: Lead key components of the company’s finance transformation agenda, including process redesign, digital enablement, and operational efficiency initiatives across FP&A and adjacent finance functions.
  • Capital Planning & Control: Manage the capital budgeting process, including setting investment thresholds, ROI modeling, policy adherence, and spend tracking.
  • Business Partnership: Collaborate closely with global operations, supply chain, commercial, and HR leaders to drive alignment with financial objectives and improve overall business performance.
  • Ad Hoc Projects & Investment Support: Conduct targeted analysis on M&A, capital expenditures, cost-saving opportunities, and strategic initiatives as directed by the CFO or board.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related quantitative field required; MBA or postgraduate certifications (CPA, CFA, CMA) strongly preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive finance experience, with 10+ years in FP&A leadership roles within complex, global manufacturing environments.
  • Proven track record of leading corporate-level FP&A, including full ownership of global budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
  • Prior experience working with private equity stakeholders or in a performance-focused ownership model is highly preferred.
  • Strong background in leading finance transformation initiatives (e.g., digital tools implementation, post-merger integration, shared services redesign).
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with senior functional and operational leaders across regions and business units.
  • Advanced proficiency with enterprise financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion) and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Exceptional communication skills with a track record of delivering board-level presentations and insights.
  • Detail-oriented with high standards for accuracy, timeliness, and quality in a fast-paced, global environment.
