Senior Finance Associate; Hedge Fund

Position Overview

Our client is a Dallas‑Fort Worth based Alternative Asset Manager (Hedge Fund) seeking a Senior Finance Associate. The role supports Portfolio and Asset Management activities, including NAV/P&L oversight, cash management, responding to inquiries, liaising with the Front Office, coordinating third‑party valuation firms, and working with the funds’ external third‑party fund administrator (Private Credit/Debt Instruments and/or Direct Lending highly preferred).

The associate will collaborate with departments such as Deal team, Operations, Investor Relations, Management Reporting, Tax, Legal and Compliance.

• Oversee and lead the company's financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, auditing and financial operations.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with teams on initiatives impacting financial reporting, all financial metrics and KPIs.
• Assist in preparation of annual GAAP financial statements and coordinate year‑end audit inquiries from external auditors.
• Create executive presentations of financial results for senior executives.
• Support external audit engagements, managing and coordinating with auditors and external service providers, and preparing/reviewing audited financial statements and footnote disclosures.
• Identify risks, implement controls, and maintain proper process documentation.
• Provide support for other ad‑hoc analyses and projects as needed.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (CPA preferred).
• 2+ years of accounting experience in Public or Private Accounting teams; prior Fin Services experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and Revenue Recognition.
• In‑depth experience working with general ledger, financial analysis, journal entries, and detailed account analyses.
• Experience or interest in accounting for Data or Technology Service companies.
