Prime Lending is a leading national home lender focused on empowering the pursuit of home ownership. We are seeking a Secondary Markets Assistant to provide support to the secondary markets department in the areas of mortgage trading, pricing (locking and scenario quotes), loan maintenance, pricing engine administration, etc. Additional responsibilities include policy, procedure and loan product education, interpretation and application.

• Accept and review rate lock requests from the sales staff
• Research pricing requests and update system with appropriate and required pricing changes
• Develop, implement and administer policies and procedures related to locking and pricing of loans
• Provide guidance and serve as a resource to appropriate branch office staff regarding common practices for lock‑in policies and procedures through various methods of communication (including, but not limited to, a phone queue and email inbox)
• Prepare and monitor various management level reports
• Act as liaison for the company between outside investors and other internal departments regarding the sale and delivery of closed loan transactions
• Maintain a professional image and adheres to standards consistent with company policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned or required

• High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in the mortgage banking or financial services industry
• Working knowledge of mortgage loans and an understanding of pricing required
• Experience in Capital/Secondary Markets or lock desk preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of commonly‑used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Secondary Marketing field
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with various levels and groups within the organization
• Excellent detail orientation and analytical skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and adapt quickly to a rapidly changing environment
• Excellent PC skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
• Demonstrated judgment and decision making ability
• Strong customer service orientation
• Excellent time management, organizational and problem‑solving skills
