Position SummaryWe are seeking a reliable and experienced EEG Technician to join our growing neurodiagnostic services team. In this role, you will perform routine and extended EEG studies across inpatient, outpatient, and mobile settings. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, patient-focused, and comfortable working independently in clinical environments.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for EEG procedures, including explaining the test and applying electrodes
- Perform routine, portable, and long-term EEG studies with attention to quality and safety
- Ensure accurate electrode placement using the International 10–20 system
- Monitor, document, and escalate abnormal EEG findings in accordance with critical value protocols
- Maintain detailed and timely documentation in EMR and internal systems
- Clean and maintain equipment, ensuring readiness and infection control compliance
- Maintain clear communication with neurologists, nurses, and ordering physicians
- Travel to partner facilities or patient homes as needed
Education & Training:
- Graduate of an accredited EEG or neurodiagnostic program preferred
- Allied health training or equivalent experience in EEG may be considered
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical EEG experience preferred
Certifications:
- BLS/CPR (required within 30 days of hire)
- REEGT certification preferred or in progress
Skills:
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently
- Familiarity with standard EEG systems and troubleshooting techniques
- Excellent patient communication and bedside manner
