Job Summary

Principle Imaging is seeking an experienced Mobile Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer to perform general and vascular ultrasound in patient homes, assisted living communities, and skilled nursing facilities across Dallas–Fort Worth

About the Role

As a Mobile Sonographer, you will provide general ultrasound
, vascular ultrasound
, and portable imaging services across the DFW region. This role is perfect for someone who values independence, variety in daily locations, and the ability to deliver high‑quality diagnostic care without the fast pace or interruptions of a hospital setting. You’ll have the time and space to connect meaningfully with patients who are homebound or in long‑term care environments.

Key Responsibilities

Ultrasound Exams & Patient Care

  • Perform high‑quality general and vascular ultrasound exams in homes and care facilities
  • Prepare, position, and support patients with clear and compassionate communication
  • Recognize abnormal or urgent findings and notify appropriate providers promptly

Technical & Equipment Duties

  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot portable ultrasound machines
  • Ensure studies meet diagnostic standards and upload exams to PACS accurately

Documentation

  • Write clear, concise technical impressions for all completed scans
  • Maintain accurate patient and exam records
  • Work independently in a mobile imaging capacity across a defined geographic area
  • Manage daily schedules and adapt to patient needs and location changes

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation
  • (Company vehicle provided after onboarding)
  • 1+ year ultrasound experience (2–3 years preferred)
  • ARDMS certification in Abdomen and/or Vascular preferred (RDMS, RVT)
  • Proficiency in general and vascular ultrasound
  • Ability to write accurate technical impressions
  • Comfortable in field‑based/mobile settings

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, bend, walk, and scan for extended periods
  • Ability to drive up to ~200+ miles/day, depending on route
  • Ability to lift/move up to 40 lbs (equipment)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
