Our client in the Dallas‑Fort Worth area is seeking a Senior EHS Training Specialist to lead the development and delivery of training programs that reinforce environmental, health, and safety compliance across the organization. This role plays a key part in ensuring employees understand safety expectations, regulatory requirements, and company standards. The ideal candidate is an experienced safety professional with strong instructional skills and a commitment to building a proactive, safety‑focused culture.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing EHS training programs tailored to different roles, work environments, and risk profiles
- Facilitating training sessions covering topics such as hazard communication, PPE, emergency response, ergonomics, and environmental compliance
- Managing training records and ensuring documentation is audit‑ready and aligned with regulatory requirements
- Partnering with EHS, HR, and operational teams to identify training gaps and build effective learning solutions
- Assessing training effectiveness using evaluations, assessments, and safety performance indicators
- Monitoring regulatory updates (OSHA, EPA, etc.) and incorporating changes into training materials
- Participating in incident investigations by analyzing training‑related root causes and recommending corrective actions
- Maintaining and updating EHS training content within the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Leading safety onboarding programs for new employees and contractors
- Coordinating with external agencies, vendors, or specialists when advanced or technical training is required
Qualifications/
Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in EHS training, safety coordination, or compliance‑focused roles
- Strong understanding of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulatory frameworks
- Experience developing and delivering training in multiple formats (in‑person, virtual, hands‑on)
- Familiarity with LMS platforms and digital learning tools
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills
- Professional certifications such as CSP, CHMM, or OSHA Authorized Trainer
- Ability to analyze safety data and convert insights into meaningful training improvements
